guardians, to understand their needs and formulate a personal plan.

has few overheads, meaning very competitive rates.
Barry offers tuition starting at £25/hour for GCSE and rising to £30 for A- and Degree-level,
with no added travel costs within TA1. Barry is also happy to travel for up to 30
minutes range of Taunton for an additional 45p/mile.

Barry is based in Taunton, Somerset. He offers face-to-face tuition, mentoring and
lecturing at your location within 30 minutes drive of Taunton TA1, or clients may
prefer to come to Taunton, and he also offers online tuition using Skype to clients
Barry has about 40 years work experience: 10 years as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
(specialising in Microbiology), 10 years as an environmental research scientist (specialisms:
Pollution and Bioremediation), 10 years as a corporate environmental consultant and
trainer, and 10 years as a freelance consultant and trainer/tutor. He honed his craft
with leading companies such as the NHS, Ricardo-AEA, Mouchel, White Young Green,
Vertase and Abricon.
Barry enjoys extensive training and teaching experience, ranging from on-the-job
training of junior staff, through professional training, lecturing and mentoring
in the environmental sciences to the teaching of Environmental Sciences and Biology
(to degree level), General and Human Biology (at A level), and Sciences and Maths
(at GCSE). He has taught for Somerset Skills and Learning, Weston College, Frome
College and the University of the West of England. He also delivers a wide range
of bespoke professional workshops and courses to businesses, offers mentoring in
specific environmental topics for middle and senior managers, assists adults requiring
Maths for college and work entrance exams, and is a specialist visiting lecturer
to universities and colleges.
